Fighting the Type 2 Diabetes Epidemic: How Employers & Health Plans Can Participate in CDC's National DPP

Investing in efforts to combat type 2 diabetes results in reduced costs and healthier employees. To address the growing problem of prediabetes, the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) created the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) lifestyle change program. This evidence-based initiative provides resources to help at-risk participants make positive lifestyle changes such as eating healthier, reducing stress, and increasing physical activity.
 
This webinar offers an overview of the nationwide impact of the National DPP and specific steps employers and commercial health plans can take to participate. 

1 in 3 in the U.S. prediabetes. Without many will go on to develop type 2 diabetes within 5 years.
