Mental Health: The Other Pandemic

The CDC estimates that 90% of illness is caused by stress. When stress persists for a long period of time, such as during this pandemic, it becomes distress. Extreme anxiety, sorrow or pain is distress. This forum will examine these key issues, their long-term effects on mental and physical health and how employers can support their members to minimize the prevalence of anxiety, sorrow and pain. Participants will learn:
  • What some employers are doing to improve access to quality mental health services
  • How to measure ROI for mental health benefits offerings
  • What the signs and symptoms of distress are and tools to minimize them from occurring
  • Benefit from treating the whole person
  • How to personalize the mental/behavioral health benefits for their population
