Webinar: Type 2 Diabetes: Does Daily Self Monitoring Improve A1c Levels and Quality of Life?

10-18-2018 09:11

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 29 million Americans have diabetes and 86 million more have prediabetes. Now considered an epidemic, these two groups comprise about 45 percent of the U.S. workforce, and with indirect costs reaching $69 billion annually, it’s critical for employers to determine best practices in care and treatment.
This webinar highlights the findings of a recent PCORI study that set out to determine the impact of daily self-monitoring for people non–insulin-treated Type 2 diabetes. Does this practice help them maintain their blood sugar levels and improve their quality of life? The results of this study may change the way employers approach their health care strategies related to this condition.
